new kids on the block live - 2008

In 2008 I was one of millions of young at heart girls who were thrilled beyond reason that New Kids on the Block were back!!!

I went to three of their 2008 shows, loved every single one, and cannot describe accurately the way it felt to be there, for them to be there, for this to really be happening.

New Kids on the Block was just about the biggest thing to hit us in the late 80s. They worked and struggled for a few years before making it big with their 1987 release of Hangin' Tough which launched them into everyone's lives, especially us preteen/teen girls :)

They stopped touring and releasing albums in 1993/1994. So to have them to return to us 14/15 years later is amazing. What else is amazing is we were all here waiting for them, whether we knew it or not. Because when I heard they were coming back, when I saw the Summertime video and heard the lyrics, I knew they felt the same way about their fans as we felt about them. We didn't forget, and they surely didn't either.

I designed this fanlisting using photos of my 2008 tour t-shirt and photos of the concerts I attended this tour. I also went to one 2009 Full Service Tour show and that was awesome as well!

I'm a New Kid fan, always will be, and my love for them has never diminished, I cherish the way it felt to hear they were back, and I'm sure this feeling is known by all of their true fans from back in the day :)
